A Farm Watch is a community which operates in a similar way to a Neighbourhood Watch community. The organization is run for, and by the members of the farming community, and is supported by the police. This allows us to share information about criminal, anti-social, and suspicious behaviour in the area to assist in crime prevention.
It is expected that all members play an active role in the running of the Farm Watch to ensure the future sustainability of the Farm Watch.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Being part of an Accredited Farm Watch with members that can legally assist the Police in our area with detection, prevention and combatting crime.

Receive regular newsletters with Farm Watch related information, updates, and incidents.
Exclusive access to the Klapmuts Farm Watch WhatsApp groups, for members who have signed the code of conduct, and used for live reporting of suspicious incidents and activities.
Free yearly training in Basic Farm Watch/Firefighting & First Aid, is provided by the Department of Community Safety to FW members. The dates and info will be shared on the Farm Watch Info WA Group when it becomes available.
Free access to the Klapmuts Farm Watch Radio network with more than 55 members already making use of radio communications.
There are currently active Klapmuts Farm Watch First Responders in our area, responding to various safety related incidents.
There are currently more than 55 Farm Watch members patrolling our area on a scheduled roster. All members are invited to do a scheduled patrol per month.
RADIO – NETWORK
A disciplined approach to membership of the Klapmuts Farm Watch Radio Network is key to ensuring that high standards are maintained, in terms of good radio etiquette and protocol.
PATROLS – VISIBLE PATROLLING
The Klapmuts Farm Watch is in the process of the installation of an LPR (Licence Plate Recognition) Camera network in our area. These cameras have since proven to be a great tool in fighting crime.
