KLAPMUTS FARM WATCH

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” – Coretta Scott King

SOCIAL – GATHERINGS

The Klapmuts Farm Watch is just so much more than just a “farm watch”

In order for KFW members to get to know each other better and to gain a clearer understanding of where everyone actually “lives”, we started the First Thursday Socials.

These events take place at a different location in our area every time – a member volunteers his home or business as a location,

and those who attend either pay to enjoy a meal (if it is a formal establishment), or, it can be a “bring your own” for a more informal picnic or braai.

The idea is for the gathering  to be completely social, and it becomes  an opportunity for potential new members to get an idea of what KFW is all about, and for existing members to do some “catching up”.

The social aspect of the Farm Watch has meant that we have created a space where we feel connected to each other, and, therefore responsible for each other.
