Klapmuts Farm Watch Projects

Lockdown Food Project

PROJECTS TO DATE

  • 2018 – received a donation and installed our radio repeater for radio communication.
  • 2018 – Family supported with R1500 worth of food vouchers when their son drowned in the Arra vineyards dam.
  • 2018 – Organised tactical training and bleeding control for members.
  • 2019 – Provided first aid and firefighting training to members.
  • 2020 – Doing visibility patrols with SAPS and private security companies.  This is done quarterly or as needed.  This project is continuing today.
  • 2020 – Assisted with organising, packing of food parcels and delivery of food to the community during the lockdown food projects.
  • 2020 – Supporting a member by covering their monthly private security cost.
  • 2020 – members were actively involved in the search  for two missing minors.
  • 2020 – Started with our LPR camera safety project and have a total of 9 x LPR cameras on the road at the current stage.
  • 2021 – Doing visibility patrols with SAPS and private security companies.  This is done quarterly or as needed.  This project is continuing today.
  • 2021 – Donating clothing and safety related equipment to Simondium neighbourhood watch.
  • 2021 – Donating clothing and safety related equipment to our newly accredited Klapmuts neighbourhood watch.
  • 2021 – Celox stop the bleed training.
  • 2022 – Installation of 4 more LPR cameras, with a total of 9 x cameras in our area.
  • 2022 – Another family supported with R1500 value of food voucher when 3 x children lost their parents.  They are now staying with their aunt.
  • 2022 – Assisting farm neighbours with firefighting
  • 2022 – Doing visibility patrols with SAPS and private security companies.  This is done quarterly or as needed.  This project is continuing today.
